We provide a range of day services, inclusive of “drop in”, designed to empower and support people who experience mental distress, which are accessible and delivered in a friendly and welcoming manner by an experienced team of staff and volunteers. The service is based on the principles of social inclusion and person centred development.
Members (service users) are encouraged and supported to gain confidence and self-esteem with the ultimate aim of engaging in services beyond the mental health sector. We work closely with statutory sector agencies eg: community mental health team and other voluntary sector agencies in the area. However we are also an alternative service, just call in if you think we may be able to help you.
At Bell Lane Loft, in Brecon, each day offers leisure activities and learning opportunities based on particular themes, such as Computers, Active Lifestyles, Swimming, Walking, Gym (Low Impact Circuit Training), Gardening, Art, Craft, Pottery, Relaxation and Therapeutic Massage, as well as providing opportunities to establish friendships and share experiences with like minded people.
Members are also offered 1:1 person-centred support based on the principles of the Recovery Model.
In addition to The Loft we also provide outreach services in Crickhowell, Hay-On-Wye, and Talgarth. These services are based on the same principles providing opportunity for members within their local communities to engage in a range of leisure and creative activities.
If you would like to find out more about any of our services then please contact a member of staff at Bell Lane Loft – 01874 611529 or just call in for a chat – you will be made very welcome.
